Esque Introduce
In the bustling centre of the Sydney CBD, specifically within the expansive Westfield Sydney, finding a cafe that offers fresh, satisfying, and health-conscious lunch options can be a daily priority for the local New South Wales workforce and shoppers. **Esque** is a popular cafe located on Level 5, which has cultivated a strong reputation for delivering on this exact promise. Operating as a dedicated cafe, Esque focuses intently on providing a high-quality lunch experience, setting itself apart from the standard quick-service spots in the area.
The core offering at Esque revolves around a thoughtful selection of meats, salads, and warm dishes. This variety ensures that whether you're craving a rich protein, a light salad, or a mix of both, you will find an appealing option. Customers have highlighted the quality of specific dishes, such as the pork belly, noting it was beautifully crispy, and the pumpkin salad, which was described as delicious. This focus on flavourful, well-prepared food is a significant drawcard for the discerning Sydney diner.
A notable feature of the Esque experience is their keen attention to customer feedback. Early reviews pointed out that while the food was "nice and very tasty," the portion sizes might have been on the smaller side, especially considering the price point ($15.90 for a box). However, loyal patrons have recently observed a positive change, noting that the cafe has "increase their serving size," demonstrating that the management at Esque is actively "listening to their customers." This responsiveness to the community is a key element in maintaining relevance and competition within the highly saturated CBD food court environment, ensuring greater customer satisfaction and value.
Esque is widely regarded as a great option for those seeking a lunch that is both satisfying and leaning towards the healthy side. They excel at offering a good variety of choices, catering to "most if not all dietary requirements." This makes the cafe a versatile choice for groups with mixed needs or individuals maintaining specific eating plans. The blend of satisfying proteins and fresh salads provides a welcome alternative to heavier, less nutritious fast-food fare.
Beyond the food, the service at Esque truly stands out. Customers consistently praise the staff, noting they are "always so friendly," which "truly makes a difference" in the overall dining experience. In a fast-paced environment like a CBD food court, friendly and welcoming staff can significantly enhance the visit, transforming a simple lunch transaction into a genuinely positive interaction.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came here for lunch on a work day. selection of meats, and salads and warm dishes. I ordered the pork belly and salad box. Crispy pork belly was great and the pumpkin salad was delicious I also picked a side of roast pots & veg. It's cost $15.90. food was nice and very tasty but unfortunately the portion size was too small (I was still hungry) and defo not enough for the price. It's in a food court and has plenty of competition around. So I would suggest upping the portion sizes in order to compete better.
February 05 · Gary LGreat lunch option for something satisfying yet healthy. They have a good variety catering to most if not all dietary requirements. Have noticed that they’ve increase their serving size so looks like they’re really listening to their customers. Staff are always so friendly which truly makes a difference!
March 06 · Elly LI ordered a salad and it was very oily. A salad must be healthy not a soup of oil. I told the staff and their response was that the sauce was made with vegetable oil. Very bad experience not coming back ever. 🤮
October 02 · Natalia GonzalezI love all the salad and sandwiches here, coffee’s great as well. The staff here are the best! My favorite place for lunch.
January 23 · Izabel YuHad a matcha latte, barista recommended soy instead of milk.Soy added a creamy texture that compliments the matcha, good choice.
