Venchi - The Galeries Sydney Introduce
Welcome to the delightful world of Venchi, a renowned Italian chocolate and artisan ice cream shop nestled in the heart of New South Wales. Specifically located within The Galeries, a premier shopping destination in the bustling Sydney CBD, Venchi offers locals and visitors a true sensory journey rooted in over 140 years of Italian confectionery tradition. Since its founding by Silvano Venchi in Turin in 1878, the brand has been celebrated for its commitment to using high-quality, natural ingredients to craft exquisite chocolates and incredibly creamy gelato. The Sydney location brings this rich history and dedication to deliciousness right to our doorstep.
Venchi in Sydney is more than just a shop; it’s an immersive experience, often referred to as a “Cioccogelateria.” The store's interior is designed to be vibrant and colourful, a visual feast that perfectly complements the decadent treats on display. Stepping inside, you are greeted by an atmosphere of Italian "Allegria" (joy and happiness), making it a perfect spot for a quick, indulgent break from the pace of city life or a place to find an elegant gift for someone special. For those who appreciate fine, authentic confectionery, Venchi has become a must-visit destination in the New South Wales region, embodying the balance of traditional recipes and modern ethical production.
The brand's reputation is built on its foundational principles: high-quality ingredients, less sugar, and the complete exclusion of palm oil, hydrogenated fats, additives, and artificial flavours. This focus on wholesome, natural components ensures a decadent treat that you can feel good about enjoying. From the creamy Gianduiotto, a hallmark of Piedmontese chocolate-making, to the innovative Chocoviar and the daily fresh-made gelato, the products reflect a long-standing commitment to chocolate mastery.
The local community in NSW has quickly embraced Venchi’s unique offering, appreciating the smooth texture and deep, balanced flavours of the gelato, which avoids the overly sweet profile found elsewhere. The display of chocolates, often over 50 different varieties, is impressive and inviting, allowing customers to handpick their perfect assortment in a classic "pick & mix" style. Whether you are craving the classic pistachio, a rich dark chocolate flavour, or a vibrant seasonal sorbet, the variety promises an exciting discovery on every visit. The store ensures clarity on ingredients, with detailed cards that help those with dietary requirements, such as gluten-free options, choose with confidence.

For anyone in New South Wales looking for an authentic and high-quality Italian sweet treat, Venchi - The Galeries Sydney stands out for several compelling reasons, making it a worthwhile choice for your next indulgence.
Firstly, the historical pedigree is unmatched. Choosing Venchi means tasting chocolate crafted with 140 years of Italian expertise, an ambassador of Piedmontese confectionery art. The quality is immediately apparent in the texture and flavour of their products. As one customer noted, the ice cream is “silky smooth” with “great flavour depth.” This focus on flavour over excessive sweetness ensures a refined and satisfying experience.
Secondly, the dedication to natural and ethical production is a key differentiator. In an era where consumers are increasingly conscious of what they consume, the guarantee of palm oil-free, gluten-free, and natural ingredients with less sugar provides peace of mind alongside the pleasure. This commitment reflects a brand that values health and the environment just as much as taste.
Finally, the sheer variety and unique product lines are what truly set it apart. The opportunity to browse and customise a "pick & mix" bag from a wall of over 50 chocolate varieties—from the classic Nougatine to the signature Chocoviar—offers a level of engagement and novelty that mass-produced chocolate cannot match. Furthermore, the gelato, made fresh daily with traditional recipes, is considered a superb dessert highlight. Whether you want a decadent chocolate bar, a scoop of intensely flavoured pistachio gelato, or an elegant gift box, Venchi offers a slice of Italian luxury that is perfect for celebrating a special occasion or simply elevating an ordinary day in the Sydney CBD. The experience is designed to be a quick, impactful moment of pure indulgence.
We encourage all residents and visitors of New South Wales to stop by and experience the genuine "Italian Allegria" that Venchi has to offer.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The instore interior design and food displays are beautiful. The staff were professional and could be friendlier. The quality of the icecream was silky smooth, great flavour depth and and balance in sweetness with the perfect crunch on the waffle cones. Superb icecream experience! Will come here again to try more flavours.
November 02 · Ermi Mendoza-IsaisI went here for a ice cream today and it was a solid experience. I tried the pistachio and banana chocolate flavours – both were delicious, with rich flavour and a nice balance of sweetness that wasn’t overwhelming. The portion size was a little on the smaller side compared to other places, but the quality of the ice cream made up for it. The texture was smooth and creamy, and you can tell they focus on flavour over just being overly sweet. Overall, a great spot if you’re after something tasty and not too heavy – I’d happily come back to try more flavours.
September 27 · Seulki ChungI had the opportunity to try Venchi ice cream 🍦 for the first time & it was definitely a treat! The texture was creamy and rich & I tried 2 flavourd. One of them were super delicious though personally I found them a little on the sweeter side. It’s a nice experience for a first timer & the quality is evident in every scoop. I did notice there weren’t too many gelato varieties available, but the ones on offer were enjoyable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and worth trying at least once.
August 23 · Sukitha GunasekeraI had such a wonderful experience at Venchi – The Galeries Sydney. Their gelato is not only beautifully presented but also packed with flavor. I tried two combinations:🍊 Yuzu & Chocolate – the bright, zesty citrus notes of yuzu blended perfectly with the deep richness of chocolate. Refreshing yet indulgent, this duo was a true surprise that worked so well together.🌿 Pistachio & Chocolate – creamy, nutty pistachio paired with smooth chocolate created an irresistibly classic combination. Each spoonful was rich, balanced, and absolutely delicious. If you love authentic Italian gelato with premium ingredients, Venchi is a must-visit in Sydney. September 06 · Gena starVenchi is both a chocolate and gelato store. It has a vibrant and colourful atmosphere. Whenever I've walked past, the shop was always busy, and I had been wanting to try the gelato for some time. After eating it, however, my friend and I wouldn't say it's our favourite.I don't know if it was because we came not long before closing time, and the gelato had been out for a while, but it was very soft, too soft for our liking. It also lacked a greater depth of flavour than some other ice creams and gelatos we've had. My friend commented that it was more on the watery side. I had a double scoop ($8.90) of coffee and nougatine. The coffee was good, but I found the nougatine to be too sweet. Neither gelatos were very creamy. My friend had rose and raspberry. We could not taste either of these flavours in the gelato. He also had strawberry. The flavour was subtle. We both commented that the cone was small, hard, and too thick. On the occasion we went, staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
