★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We visited Bar 83 in the afternoon — it’s said to be the highest bar in Sydney. There’s also a revolving restaurant one floor below, offering a 360° view of the city.If you just want to enjoy a beautiful view over Sydney, Bar 83 is definitely enough. When we visited, there was a minimum spend of 30 AUD per person, which we easily reached with one snack and a drink. The service was very friendly and the snacks were delicious — especially with that breathtaking view over the city. We can definitely recommend this place!
November 02 · ClaudioBar 83 offers one of the most spectacular views of Sydney, and there is no denying that the scenery from the top is stunning. We had booked for a group of ten to enjoy some drinks and chat for an hour or so before attending a business conference. Sadly, the way the venue is managed leaves a lot to be desired and detracts from what could be an unforgettable experience. The staff at the entrance, located beside the lift, checked our booking and sent us upstairs without mentioning any rules. Only once we reached the bar were we told that a maximum of eight guests could sit together. When we considered leaving for another café, the staff informed us that we would still be required to spend a minimum of $30 per person – a total of $300 – even though we were not allowed to sit together. It felt as though, the moment the lift doors opened onto the bar level, we were not seen as guests at all—just ten walking $30 notes. This lack of communication caused unnecessary frustration. The bar was quiet with many empty tables, yet the team repeatedly insisted it was “policy” and refused to make any exception. Most cocktails were priced around $27–$28, just below the minimum spend, which left us little choice but to order additional items. To be fair, the cocktails were well made and the truffle chips were crisp and flavourful, which were definite positives. However, these did not make up for the poor handling of our booking.Bar 83 has the potential to be a truly memorable venue thanks to its incredible view and quality drinks. However, the strict and poorly explained policies, combined with unhelpful service, overshadow the experience. Anyone planning to visit with more than eight people should clarify all conditions in advance to avoid the same disappointment.
September 23 · Alvin KhBar 83 is the most reasonable way to go if you want great views with some drinks and food. The restaurant is surely nice but it comes at a higher cost.If you choose the bar it's a $30 minimum and the restaurant is quite a bit higher. We started at the counter on the 4th level and took the elevator up to the 3 rd upper level. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. There are stunning views from any seat so it didn't matter where we sat.The staff were amazing and attentive and took there time with us while we figured out how exactly we were going to order. We ended up ordering the bottomless drinks with entrees which ended up being perfect. We didn't have to wait for anything and again the staff were amazing. If you want great views at a reasonable rate. Stop by bar 83 and have a great time.
September 10 · Chris AmendolaHigh tea at Bar 83 was amazing and a refined experience with floor-to-ceiling views. The staffs were very attentive and we were very well looked after. I booked high tea for my boyfriends birthday and was a surprise for him. I requested for a birthday plaque through email and they confirmed it but during the experience it wasn't presented which was very disappointing 😞 I hope the requests are very well looked after for customers as they planned. Apart from this we had a good experience and would love to go again for drinks next time 😊
October 07 · Manisha PillayCarlota was the best host ever. From the greeting to explanations of the choices before us... superb! Ty Carlota. And then there is the view. We were treated to a 'round' rainbow 🌈I've never seen a full 360° rainbow, but we did today. (Of course it came with the rainiest day since 1879) but we made the most of the views between showers.A 'must-do' when in Sydney.Oh, and then there was the food - and bottomless drinks... 🍸 🍹 🍸and 'Happy Hour' ...
