Yomie’s Rice x Yoghurt Introduce
Yomie’s Rice x Yoghurt has emerged as a global sensation, and the Sydney CBD location brings this unique and compelling concept right to the heart of New South Wales. Far from a conventional frozen yoghurt or juice bar, Yomie’s pioneered a distinctive category of dessert drink: the creamy, slightly tart flavour of probiotic-rich yoghurt blended with the satisfying, chewy texture of freshly cooked purple rice. This combination has proven to be an "insanely delicious" experience that has captivated the palates of local users.
The brand’s signature creation, the Yomie's Purple Rice Yogurt, is a healthy, yet indulgent, beverage that serves as both a dessert and a nutritious snack or light meal. The secret lies in the quality of the ingredients: the yoghurt is made fresh daily, ensuring it is packed with active probiotics that aid digestion and promote gut health. The purple rice—a sweet, chewy rice originating from Asia—is high in protein, fibre, and antioxidants, and is always freshly cooked to ensure its perfect, elastic consistency and aroma.
Since its arrival in the Sydney market, Yomie’s has become a cult favourite, often drawing queues of enthusiastic patrons eager to experience this unique blend of textures and tastes. Customers frequently highlight that the drinks are “one of a kind, unalike any other yogurt drink that you'll find anywhere else.” The menu is extensive, moving beyond the signature purple rice to incorporate other energy grains like oats and a wide variety of fresh fruit options, including Avocado, Passionfruit, and Melon.
Operating as a dessert shop, frozen yoghurt shop, and juice shop all in one, Yomie's fills a special niche in the New South Wales food scene. It offers a dessert that feels refreshing, wholesome, and surprisingly light compared to many overly sweet alternatives. This Sydney location also proudly identifies as a women-owned business, adding a further dimension of community and purpose to its operation. The combination of health benefits, unique Asian-inspired flavours, and convenience makes Yomie’s Rice x Yoghurt a standout destination in the Sydney CBD for those seeking a modern, delicious, and functional beverage.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a really interesting and unique experience that I think could really take off. Never would I have thought in theory that such a beverage would be good, but once I tried it it was actually insanely delicious! I ended up coming back and grabbing a second one after I finished my first. I even felt like compared to modern prices one smoothie at $6-7 bucks is pretty good.Beware that whilst the shop is busy the wait times can become quite long, but this drink is 100% worth a try.
April 10 · JacobService can be a little slow at times since its usually one person working, but the output is always just as good. The drinks here are one of a kind, unalike any other yogurt drink that you'll find anywhere else. Maybe except their other store down in haymarket, but this is exceptional!!
December 05 · stefanI really like Yomie’s Rice x Yoghurt! The flavors are unique and refreshing. It's a great option for a healthy, delicious snack or drink. The purple rice yogurt drink is definitely a standout. Highly recommend!
February 09 · Mo AlfaresThe rice with yoghurt is great. However as many people have said, at this store and the other one, the greedy owner has not put enough money into employing and training enough staff to meet the demand. When I went there was only 3 numbers difference between my ticket and the display, so I thought I would stand and wait, even though I was very tired and would have liked to sit down. Took forty minutes for the drink to come- and then it was with the group of six who had come after me. Even though I was first, I had to wait for all their drinks to be made?It isn't the staff's fault because it's just him running between the cash register and making these drinks, and it makes sense to want to do a big batch at a time before giving them to us and having to take more orders. Still felt very bad to wait. Since there's no audio for the numbers you can't even go around the corner and sit. I won't be coming here again.
June 13 · Prox (Prox)FOOD. I always have the purple rice yogurt because it's really good. Incredible balance of texture and sweetness of purple rice and sourness of yogurt. Perfect combo.SERVICE. No issues with customer service. Quick service.PLACE. It's located at the same level where the food court is so there will be tables and chairs.
